We've been performing large, complex Document Management migrations for over a decade, either directly for end-users or as subcontractors for Imaging Vendors or large IT consultancies like FileNet, Perot Systems and Siemens Business Services.
We're happy to investigate unsupported or undocumented systems and obsolete or unidentified media and data formats.
We do pre-sales investigation for free (whether it's for a prime contractor or an end-user), and we'll work to a fixed price and guaranteed timescale.
We've migrated and translated image and other documents to and from IBM's Image+ (MO:DCA/IOCA and others), Wang's WIIS and OPEN/Image, eiStream, Optika, Tower, Vignette, CanoFile, FileNet's Panagon and Watermark, Oracle's CM/SDK and several others. Mostly we've been asked to translate raster image data to TIFF, but we'll happily emit PostScript or PDF, and render documents like Microsoft's Word to TIFF or other graphical formats.
We can read most 5,25" and 12" optical platters (including some really obscure ones) and tape media from 800 bpi half inch reel-to-reel onward.
Where it's sensible (or an absolute requirement) we'll perform migrations on client premises. Usually, however, it's more efficient to work off-site using our own facilities. This allows us to work on your data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, often on a number of clustered machines on a dedicated, fast network.
Because we read raw data directly from the original storage media, we can usually extract images and other documents far faster than they could be exported using the original vendor's tools
We're happy to subcontract to enable IT vendors to fulfil the needs of prospective or current clients. Our people will fit in with your team, deal with the client through your project management, and earn you revenue that you might otherwise have missed.
We're even happier to work with end-users who need large amounts of their own complex data transferred from system to system. Clients who engage us direct typically experience better communications and lower costs because of the decreased overhead in the relationship.
If you're wondering why we think we can do things faster and more effectively than most, have a look at our migration process overview.
